International Wudang Kungfu Successor Cultivation Program
A program to pass on knowledge of both Kung Fu and Taoist philosophy for cultivating qualified internaltional Wudang Kungfu desciples

The General
At the request by Kungfu enthusiasts, Wudang Taoism Kung Fu Academy now initiates the long-term program for specifically cultivating international Wudang Kungfu disciples. We plan to recruit twenty overseas talented students who would like to endure the hardship to master the authentic Wudang Kungfu. Via a systematic and professional training program boasting teaching courses like martial arts, Taoism theory, Chinese language as well as Taoist health preservation approaches, foreign disciples can master authentic Wudang Martial Arts forms, the meditation approaches, the speaking and writing Chinese language, Taoist thoughts and Taoism culture that have influenced China for thousands of years. In such way, the Wudang Taoist Kung Fu disciples can disseminate and carry forward what they have learnt to the world to fulfill the old saying, “let all mankind share 400 square kilometers Wudang culture together.”

A Brief Introduction to Wudang Taoism Kung Fu Academy
Wudang Taoism Kung Fu Academy, which is the only Martial Arts school directly affiliated to Wudang Mountains Taoist Association, was founded in 1989. As a platform for dissemination, communication and learning of Taoist culture, its main teaching contents are Wudang Taoist Martial Arts and Taoist health preservation approaches. Wudang Taoism Kung Fu Academy is situated in the middle of the Wudang Mountains with the royal Purple Heaven Temple near in the east, Wudang mountain road in the west, the Flying-Flag Peak behind and the peculiar Candle Peak in front. Surrounded by mountains, greens and ancient temples, Wudang Taoism Kung Fu Academy boasts an amazing beautiful environment and fresh air.  Depending upon traditional Taoist Martial Arts and culture resources, the Wudang Taoism Kung Fu Academy has cultivated thousands of Martial Arts talents from different countries and disseminated Wudang Martial Arts to the world in the past twenty years.

Awards
The foreign students attending the program must accept 2 to 5 years education in a closed environment. The biennium students who pass our examination will receive a standard course completion diploma. The trienniums students who pass the exam will receive an international disciple certificate which will be announced on our website. They can therefore officially teach Wudang Taoist Kung Fu in places around the world. Otherwise, our Academy won’t recognize their qualifications.

Training Location
The teaching course is mainly carried out in Purple Heaven Palace, Qiong Tai Temple and Five-dragon Palace on Wudang Mountains.

Class begins on 10th of October, 2009. Students are welcome to join at any convenient time

Notes:
According to the practical learning capacity, the international disciples are advised by their masters to take corresponding curriculum, to better develop all their learning potentials.

  • One class hour lasts 50 minutes.
  • There are 6 class hours of Kung Fu teaching everyday and every week there has one day off (subject to adjustment according to the summer and winter breaks).
  • The teaching of Taoist internal alchemy, Taoist medicine and Taoist classics can be carried out in a fixed period of each month (i.e. 1st – 10 th of each month, for example)
